Lots of nature

Speaking of Muroran, it's not just factories! There are also mountains and rivers near the university!
If you go a little further, you'll find a swimming beach! I often go there with friends.

Every year around May, the cherry blossoms on campus are in full bloom, allowing you to feel the change of seasons with your whole body!
The area around the university is a gentle slope, making it perfect for a morning walk. The chirping of birds, the murmuring of the river, and the scent of flowers will help you to relax and unwind from the daily fatigue.
The region has relatively warm summers, with not too hot summers and little snow in the winters.

Beautiful night view

Muroran's night view is actually one of the "Top 5 Factory Night Views in Japan."
The light art created by the factories that have supported Muroran, a city of manufacturing, for many years, is truly fascinating!

One way to enjoy the Muroran night view is to visit the many observation decks and find a spot that suits your taste.
The factories show different faces when viewed from different angles. They go perfectly with the Shiratori Ohashi Bridge!

Enjoy gourmet food

In Sapporo, there's miso ramen, in Asahikawa there's soy sauce ramen, in Hakodate there's salt ramen, and in Muroran there's curry ramen!! Curry ramen is the fourth ramen of Hokkaido!
The hot curry ramen is so delicious you'll get addicted to it!

And there is one more famous dish. That is Muroran Yakitori. This is a masterpiece that has twice won first place at the Yakitori Olympics in the past. It is eaten with Western mustard, and the meat is actually pork! Muroran is one of the leading yakitori kingdoms in Japan, with the highest number of yakitori stores per 10,000 people. You can't help but try the Muroran yakitori that everyone loves!!

Go on a trip to Hokkaido

There are many Muroran Institute of Technology students who love to go out!
In addition to visiting spots within the city such as Cape Chikyu and Itanki Beach, you can also travel a little further to Noboribetsu Onsen and Lake Toya.
