Muroran Institute of Technology Graduate School of Engineering Doctoral Program Advisory Board

Muroran Institute of Technology's Graduate School of Engineering Doctoral Program has established an educational system that responds to the needs of society, including industry, and has established an advisory board to accurately reflect the voices of industry and other sectors in order to develop "innovative doctorate holders."

1. Role of the Advisory Board

  1. Admission policy, curriculum organization and implementation policy
    Recommendations regarding curriculum policy and diploma policy
  2. Recommendations for curriculum development and implementation
  3. Recommendations for Degree Examination
  4. Recommendations for the selection of teaching staff

2. Organizational structure and members

1. Organizational structure

The committee will make recommendations to the Graduate School of Engineering Committee and the Doctoral Program Chairs Meeting regarding educational matters in the Graduate School of Engineering Doctoral Program. It will be a permanent organization.

2. Members

The committee will consist of several members from industry and an equal number from within the university, and the chairperson will be the head of the Department of Engineering.

3. Special provisions for working researchers, engineers, etc. in doctoral programs

If it is difficult for you to receive your education at the designated time due to work or other reasons, you may be able to receive classes or research guidance at night or at other specific times or periods, as stipulated in Article 14 of the Graduate School Establishment Standards.

In addition, there are special provisions for taking long-term educational courses and for financial support.
