At the Department of Applied Sciences, students learn about chemistry, biology and physics ‒ the foundations of all engineering fields ‒ as well as their application. The department runs three courses.
Contributing to the development of engineers with an affinity for the environment through lessons in chemistry and chemical engineering.
Education to cultivate engineers with expertise in the field of biotechnology and organic synthesis directed to environmental engineering.
Teaching the basics of physics and materials science in the research field of solid-state materials, quantum optics, biophysics, superconductivity and nano-science.
